More pictures from the weekend

I had some more pictures that I didn't put in the other posts so I thought I would just add them by themselves.

Ava in her new car. Memal found it at a garage sale.
If we could make it go a little faster Ava would love it. Ava & Poppy

Pucker up horsey!

Jack-O-Lantern

On Sunday, Daddy and Ava carved their pumpkin. Ava had a good time eating the seeds. Memal also came up to visit on Sunday and brought Ava her Halloween costume - Minnie Mouse. She made it again this year and did an amazing job. Ava is absolutely adorable in it. I will be posting lots of pictures I'm sure.

Fall Follies

We had an eventful Saturday with the annual Oblong Fall Follies. During the day, Jeff, Ava, Marty (Poppy), Saundra (Nana), and I went uptown to check out the vendors booths and of course eat some good food. After that we went down to the high school to watch some of the Spooktacular Band Competition that OHS hosts. In the evening Ava and I went to watch the famous parade. It is the longest nightime parade in Illinois. Long is correct - 2 1/2 hours. It went by fast though and it actually wasn't that cold - granted we had on many layers. Jeff helped line up the parade at the park so he didn't get to watch with us.

Daycare

Daycare is wonderful about emailing pictures of the kids. Today they sent me some new pics that I thought I should put up. Thanks for the pictures Tina!

Ava is learning all her body parts and she is really stuck on elbow.
She is practicing with Landon and Jamie.
It looks like a milk mustache but its even better - it's icing. Yum Yum!

Bloggers I need help

Okay - I have looked and looked and can't find how in the world everyone else has the blogs that they are following displayed on their page. I have it in my dashboard but I want it as part of my layout. Since Martha started a blog I thought I would just let her figure it out but I am getting impatient. Hopefully someone can help. Later on I will start worrying about all the other fancy stuff like music.

Here is an attempt at video!

This video is nothing to exciting. It is more an experiment to see if I can upload small video clips. This is the most recent footage I have uploaded to the computer. This took forever for me to load so video clips will only come when I have lots of time. It is quick and easy for you to watch. It only takes a second to load.

Ava's Best Friend

Last Sunday we went to Todd & Lindsey's for supper. Ava got to spend the evening with her best friend Lanee. They had not seen each other for quite some time. They had fun playing together. Lanee is 3 months older than Ava. Lindsey is going to have another baby in March so our next kids will be the same age also. How fun!

By this point in the evening both girls decided they needed their pacifiers. This is actually not a posed picture. They put their chairs together by themselves.
This is as good as we could get. They were kissing and hugging but of course with slow cameras you can't ever get that.
In the afternoon, Daddy & Ava watched the Bears game. As you can see neither one of them saw much of it. Ava does like football (not necessarily the Bears though). Daddy would say the best football games are played on Saturdays (Go Irish!)

We are all in green - except me

I got to Martha's house the other day and we were getting ready to go to Kelly Richardson's baby shower and everyone was wearing green (except me). Alli was sure to point it out to me and thought we needed to take pictures. Alli came up with all sorts of combinations of people in the pictures. So we had a little photo shoot before we went to shower. The shower was very nice - lots of good food and lots of cute baby girl gifts.
Landon can be quite the cheeser when he sees the camera. He likes to squint really hard and smile big so this turned out pretty good.

My personal favorite picture. It is so hard to get them all smiling at once but at least everyone was looking.

Family Fun Night

Tonight the daycare and the preschool hosted this years first family fun night. They had dinner and activities for the kids. Ava and Landon were too little for most of the activities but Alli had fun.

Alli hammering golf tees into a pumpkin.

Ava getting ready before fun night.

Alli picking up gourds in water with tongs.

Landon decided he needed a gourd too.

Pumpkin Patch

Today was Columbus Day so since we are fortunate enough to be school employees we had the day off. We took advantage of this family time and went to our neighbors' house. They grew hundreds of pumpkins and gourds. We had fun picking out the perfect ones. Ava loved them all.

Our neighbor has beautiful landscaping and a fall display so we had to take pictures with it also.
Ava and Daddy are going to make this one a Jack-O-Lantern. I will be sure to put up pictures of that adventure.

Wow - I can add pictures!

I had to include a picture of my favorite cheerleader. "Memal" (Jeff's Mom) made her this cheerleading uniform. She definitely knows how to cheer too. She always raises her hands above her head when you say "Panthers". I think she has been to 1 too many practices.
I couldn't possibly talk all about Ava without including a picture of her with some of her favorite people in the whole world. She absolutely loves Alli and Landon. You would think she was years older than Landon the way she likes to baby and take care of him.
She loves to sit on the bottom shelf of a side table and read her books.

Getting Started

Seeing everyone else's blogs got me interested so I thought I would give it a shot. We will see how it goes. I have no clue what I have to put in a blog but whatever it is will inevitably revolve around Ava and the new baby that is due in April.

So about Ava: She is a busy 17 month old. After church today everyone's comment about her was how "busy" she is. I guess its the nice way of saying she was a little rowdy in church. I think everyone who has taken a toddler to church knows what I mean. Wow is it ever exhausting. Makes me wonder how I will ever handle 2 in church. We will see.

And the baby on the way: I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and feel great. I don't think I have any pregnancy symptoms except being tired. But that may have nothing to do with being pregnant. We will probably find out in early December what we are having. I am very curious to know but we have absolutely no preference.
