Weekend

We spent Friday and Saturday visiting with Jeff's family. We left for Southern Illinois on Friday after school. Saturday I threw a baby shower for Jeff's sister, Tracy. She is due on June 7th. She is also having a boy, Gage. She gots lots of adorable little boy stuff. I completely forgot my camera so I have no pictures to post.

Today, we have been lazy around home all day. I had kind of hoped to finish getting the baby's room ready but we were too lazy I guess. Ava has came down with a little bit of a cold so we just sat around and played and she is already in bed for the night.

Pedicures

While Ava was playing in the bathtub tonight I sat on the floor and painted my toenails. This was the first time she has ever seen be paint my nails. She was absolutely fascinated. I told her we could paint hers also. She was very excited. So when she got all done I painted her toenails. She thought they were great. I don't know what is more amazing that she didn't touch her own toenails and mess them up or that at 9 months pregnant I can actually reach my toes. Trust me it was a little awkward but I managed.

Thank You Amy!

We had a good weekend. I left on Friday with 2 former students to go to a cheerleading coaches conference in Springfield. Lindsey is Oblong's junior high cheer coach and Alicia is helping out for the first year with Newton's High School cheerleaders. The conference was on Saturday. I had a really nice time and I think we all learned a lot. It kind of makes you feel old when your former students are now teachers - but then again after 9 years of teaching I guess they are all bound to grow up.

On Sunday, Jeff's mom and his cousin, Amy, came to our house. Amy takes wonderful pictures. She has the PF Photography blog that I have listed. She took pictures of Ava, some family pictures, and some belly shots of me. I had belly pictures done with Ava and felt like I might be neglecting baby #2 if I didn't treat him the same way. Everyone will have to check out her blog sometime. I'm sure she will post some of the pics when she gets some free time. Thanks a ton Amy for coming up and taking the pictures.

Spoiled Ava

It is no wonder Ava is so ornery. She has me who can be push over at home (just sometimes I hope) and then if she wants to run around naked at day care they let her. Thanks Tina - haha. Tina (the owner) let her take her clothes off because Ava didn't like her shirt and then emailed me this pic at work. I thought it was too cute. You can tell by the look on her face Ava thinks she is in charge.

Weekend at Jeff's Parents

On Saturday, we went to southern Illinois to see Jeff's family. We hadn't been there since Christmas due to the craziness of basketball season so it was time to make the trip. We had a very nice time seeing everyone.

It takes about 2 1/2 hours to get there. Luckily Ava usually takes a nap. If you would have had a picture of mom it would have looked about the same most of the way.
